Trash & Recycling

  • Trash is collected every Tuesday and recycling every Thursday.
    (Holiday schedules may affect collection days.)

    Residents can check the Baltimore City schedule for updates and service changes.

  • Call 311 to request a city-issued trash or recycling container.

  • Large items, appliances, and other bulk waste can be scheduled for pickup through Baltimore City by calling 311.

  • Several times each year, the HOA arranges dumpsters for neighborhood use. Check the Events Calendar for upcoming dates.

Home Safety & Seasonal Care

  • Baltimore City offers free smoke alarms and professional installation through 311 services.

  • Residents are responsible for clearing snow and ice from public sidewalks, creating at least a 2-foot-wide pathway for safe passage. City ordinances may issue fines when sidewalks are not cleared.

  • Baltimore City plows primary routes first, followed by residential streets once snowfall reaches approximately 2–3 inches.

Energy Savings & Home Efficiency

Baltimore Gas & Electric (BGE) offers programs designed to help residents reduce energy use and lower utility costs, including:

  • Free Home Energy Check-Ups with professional installation of energy-saving upgrades

  • Smart thermostat rebates

  • Discounts on insulation, HVAC improvements, windows, and other efficiency upgrades

  • Connected Rewards programs that offer bill credits for reduced energy use

Home Projects & Historic Stewardship

  • Many home projects require city approval before work begins, including structural changes, additions, decks, and electrical, plumbing, or gas work. Homeowners and contractors can apply for and track permits through the Baltimore City E-Permits Portal.

  • Homeowners may qualify for incentives through the Maryland Historic Tax Credit Program, which supports thoughtful preservation and renovation of historic properties.

Pets & Neighborhood Courtesy

Cedarcroft’s walkable streets and green spaces are shared by everyone. Please help keep them safe and welcoming:

  • Dogs must be licensed and properly identified

  • Leashes (8 feet or shorter) are required off private property

  • Always clean up after pets in public spaces
